After hearing about a Straight Pride pin available on Amazon, being sold by a company called 1000 Flags, I went to Amazon.ca to see if there was any hits with the search “straight pride” and I stumbled upon this lovely t-shirt.

When with the heterosexuals stop shoving their agenda down our throats?

I wrote a letter to Amazon pointing out how this shirt was not only in bad taste but also further oppresses and marginalizes the LGBTQ community.

If this bothers you as well I encourage you to write Amazon and share your feelings with them.

Gay Pride was not born from a need to celebrate being gay,
But our right to exist without persecution.

So instead of wondering why there isn’t a straight pride movement,
Be thankful you do not need one.
