These have to be one of the best kept secrets in the Underwear World. I don’t remember how or why I stumbled upon them, but I did a few years ago. Perhaps I saw a pic of a hot guy wearing them…that’s how I find many of the obscure and/or foreign brands I write about. Tumblr is a research tool, not porn. I’ll see a guy in a pair I like and immediately start searching for it on the internet. I run at about a 50% success rate. Often times, the brand is no longer around. But I lucked out in this case.
The reason you’ve never heard of Piado is because they don’t advertise. They don’t sell in retail stores. They live a quiet, peaceful existence on their website and VERY rarely, on CheapUndies.com. But they are some of the best underwear my manhood has ever had the pleasure of being in….and they’re inexpensive! Notice I didn’t say cheap. They’re not cheap by any means.
First and foremost, they are made of bamboo. One of my top 3 fabrics for underwear. Bamboo makes for a silky feel and a slinky give to it. You put them on and they just conform to your body instantly. There is still support, but it’s in the “Goldilocks zone”.
Piado offers briefs and trunks, keeping it simple. They have several color combinations, and are currently transitioning to a new line up. Some have accent trim, some do not. But they all look good. Not your standard black, grey and white…sometimes with a blue or red thrown in. They have quite an array of colors & combinations – 15 as of this article.
In addition, they are well made, long lasting, durable underwear. They are PERFECT for everyday wear. I have them in every color made, and they are one of the few brands I reach for as soon as they’re clean.
The best part – they are $12 a pair ($12.50 for trunks), as of this writing. You can hardly get a 2(x)ist multi-pack for $12 a pair and they are a lower quality cotton. They also come with a “Love it or the first pair is on us” guarantee. And if your order is over $45, you get free shipping.
Piado is truly one of the best kept secrets out there, and I cannot recommend them strongly enough. So try a pair – you essentially have nothing to lose except the $2.85 they charge for shipping one pair. If you don’t like them, Piado will refund your money. But my guess is you’ll be going back to order more, just like I did. Enjoy!!
