As I mentioned in The Voice of turnipStyle podcast Episode 094, I recently found N2N Bodywear had put a number of great gear items on sale.
I had to place my order.
The appeal of “jammers” as swimwear was something I never understood.
Briefs-style swimwear seemed to die around the 1996 Olympics so that by the time the 2000 Olympics arrived all you saw were jammers on swimmers.
Since 2000 they’ve appeared in every pool and on every beach where you find athletic swimmers wanting more coverage.
I do like jammers. But not as swimwear.
Jammers are the perfect athletic short replacement.
So when I saw N2N Bodywear had put both the Cosmo and Aqua Jammers on sale, I dropped them right into my basket.
While most spandex shorts designed for athletic endeavours are cut generously, I find that generous cut and design adversely affects the fit of them as shorts.
Jammers are cut a bit less generously and usually fit a lot more snugly than typical spandex athletic shorts.
While you’ll find cycling shorts and compression shorts that fit very snugly, you’ll be hard pressed to find truly athletic spandex gym shorts that fit this way.
N2N Bodywear jammers are perfect for all kinds of athletic activity in and out of the water, in my opinion.
I like the low rise on them along with the “natural” pouching that occurs in a lot of N2N Bodywear’s simple gear like these jammers.
While the pattern on the fabric may not be everyone’s ideal, they is no denying that the spandex material itself is great.
82% nylon / 17% spandex makes for a great mid-weight feel to the jammers.
Low-profile waistband with drawings completes what makes for a really good pair of shorts.
So get out of your baggy shorts guys and give jammers a chance as great shorts for your activities.
