Started with an early morning on the balcony with UrbanGuyTO bringing over poppy seed bagels from St. Lawrence Market and washing it down with Vietnamese coffee! Yum Yum!
Then we bolted out to head off to Honest Ed’s, because on a previous trip I noticed they had some cast iron frying pans for really cheap!
Of course a new cutting board here, bamboo steamers there and other miscellaneous items later we managed to escape out of there.
We did make a side trip so I could snag up a new HDTV Antenna so I would be able to get better channels at home. That will be a project for another day.
Luckily there was a break in the downpour so we could run over to UrbanGuyTO‘s apartment for drinks and a movie before we went out to the In & Out Film Festival down at the TIFF Light Box.
Saw, what I would call an enjoyable film, titled “You & I” from Germany. I really liked it to be honest. If you are in the mood for a movie that is entertaining and has it’s funny moments I would suggest tracking it down.
We were both very pleased with our choices. I took what they call The Melt, basically a burger with carmalized onions served up like a grilled cheese sammich. My favourite! Plus I had the Tater Tots. Yum Yum!
UrbanGuyTO took this turkey burger realisation that was reminiscent of Thanksgiving Dinner, yet when I asked UrbanGuyTO he was not reminded of Thanksgiving. He too had the Tater Tots and loved his whole meal!
One extra bonus, they had Wellington Stout on tap. Love it if I can’t have Guinness.
Then we headed home. Stuffed.
Here are some extra photos we took throughout the day…
