IMG_6397 (910x1024)Might not seem like it, but that was summer 2014.

With mediocre weather producing lackluster days most of May, June, July and August summer’s highlights certainly were not weather related.

Nevertheless, it was a pretty good summer because it was indeed filled with some great events.

Sometimes at Thanksgiving, frequently at New Years, occasionally at Easter, people reflect and try and put their experiences into context.

I do that now; at this time of year. When summer fades and autumn looms it is a good time for me to recall all that was good and sweet about summer.

It carries me through winter into next spring.

This summer saw me most excited about Toronto hosting World Pride.

It turned out to be an awesome event and everyone I was able to speak with had a blast. With hot boys shedding their clothes in the summer heat it made for a great two weeks in Toronto.

But even before that summer kicked off with InsideOut, Toronto’s LGBT Film Festival.

I always have a good time at this event and this year while I did not see any noteworthy films, it was a great social event seeing me hook up with plenty of friends both old and new.

The end of May saw turnipHed taking me on a surprise trip to Montreal!  My first trip to that great city, I am really looking forward to re-visiting the city soon and mixing it up with the boys there again.

Hot on the tails of the film festival in May, June brought World Pride to the forefront but not before I’d hit the nude beach several times and got “speedo-time” in pool side with buds both nude and geared-up.

Nothing better than summer nude with friends at the beach or failing that some very brief-style swimsuit time pool side.

turnipStyle went LIVE with bi-weekly broadcasts live at Pride48 which turned my summer into a great experience learning not only about all the work it takes to put on a live podcast but also how much fun it can be to share my fetish and my gear passions with other guys both local and international.

Health setbacks slowed things down for me but did not stop me from enjoying some of the best times I’ve had at Out & Out’s Jamboree event again this year.

What is this all about?

It  is about remembering while we may have stressful days making it challenging for us to see our day-to-day lives clearly, we can change our disposition to ensure we live lives centered on good experiences fostering good feelings and positive self image.

I am looking back at summer 2014 with some very good feelings.
