Jockstraps ought to be garments in any guy’s underwear drawer. We’ve said that a lot.
While I accept the day of the jockstrap may have passed, I am not going to stop talking about them.
The traditional jockstrap is the topic of the upcoming Episode (052) Voice of turnipStyle podcast.
“Traditional jockstrap” means different things to different guys so I won’t go into it here.
It is enough to say, every guy ought to drop his cock and balls into a well made proper athletic jockstrap when he’s looking for some good support and comfort.
One of my top jockstraps is the Champion jockstrap. Traditional design. Period.
While companies like BIKE now have a lot of different designs and fabrics these days, guys need to understand the traditional athletic jockstrap like the old-school Champion is what I mean when I talk about traditional well made jockstraps.
Pouch up front is snug but gives so your cock and balls are supported high and tight.
Waistband is wide and comfortable so it rides low enough on your torso to provide support without impeding mobility.
Leg straps are tough, wide and won’t roll on you while you move around in every direction.
Fabrics are tough, but not bulky and while not super absorbent, will help with breath-ability and help a little with sweating.
A traditional jockstrap pouch isn’t designed to absorb sweat, it is designed to hold your balls snug and your shaft out of the way while you bounce around.
Your jockstrap is going to get sweat-soaked by the time you are done your workout.
Is there better gear to wear for hard-core workouts? Maybe. But I will take a jockstrap over any other garment.
I’d recommend the Champion (if you can find it) to any guy looking for low-profile support.
Have a lot at the other great jockstraps in my drawer and let us know what you think is the best fit for you.
