Apparently most younger guys these days just don’t bother with wet-shaves. They shave using electric razors. I have never found an electric razor that I thought did a good job – on my face.
That brings me to the a very cool find: Dollar Shave Club!
After seeing some late-night ads on TV for the Dollar Shave Club I decided to give it a try.
As any guy who buys razors knows, its damn expensive to buy razors these days – here in Canada a pack of 8 blades can run you as much at $25 and that is for the cheap ones.
It’s easy to find packs for 8 blades for more than $30!
And if you can only use the blade a few times like me, you’re talking about some serious money for keeping your face fur-free.
It’s pretty easy. You sign up and they send you a razor and blades. Each month, they send you more blades. Done.
The razor itself is a good weight and size for my hand.
The only thing taking some getting use-to is the spring-loaded head that has the head of the razor snapping back each time you pull it off your face.
Otherwise the blades rinse out clean under the tap and lock into place firmly making for a pretty good shaving experience.
The razor and blades are pretty good quality and I am liking the good close shave I am getting from them.
Even after using the blade 3+ times I am getting a good shave from them.
Hoping that I can get 4 good shaves out of each blade and with 4 blades a month that’s more than enough to keep my face baby-ass-smooth.
If you are looking for a solution to over priced blades, give the Dollar Shave Club a try.
P.S. Nope, I didn’t get mine free nor did Dollar Shave Club ask or endorse the review. Just try it. Its pretty good. 😉
