As noted in my twits I was woken up this morning not by the jackhammers but from the fire alarm going off.
Now of course I didn’t panic or even really think there was a fire but rather got up, hit the head and turned on the espresso machine to make a perfect cup of coffee.
I took a couple pictures of the fire trucks out side but it is really, and I mean really hazy this morning so I am not sure if they turned out yet. I can’t find the cable to hook my camera up to my computer so I have to take out my SD Card but it does not work well in my laptop!
Had weird dreams again last night, yesterday I was woken up twice from a weird dream. Not a bad one but just weird. I was dreaming about work ((not something I enjoy dreaming about)) and I woke up frustrated.
So with that kind of start to my day I am wondering what this day is going to be like – just trying to remain positive.
Tomorrow my schedule for October comes out and I am always apprehensive. What is my life going to be like for the next 4 weeks? Did I get what I was bidding for? Argh! My stomach is in knots. More so now that I don’t have my safety net of a place close to the airport at base and I am now a 100% commuter.
There are certain ways to bid and certain “attributes”, so to speak, that I can bid for which means if I am successful on getting those bids, I do not have to commute. Hence, the knots in my stomach!
Here is an interesting piece of trivia for you. The digital smiley : – ) is 25 years old today!
And for another bit of interesting news, I got a phone call last night from *K* who was working the other night when this happened. The announcement to stay put and not leave the hospital came over the PA as soon as *K* walked on to her unit floor.
