Just a quick head's up for all of you, my faithful readers.

Yesterday my laptop committed suicide. Right there in my lap. Luckily I suffered no physical damage; however this has really set me back.

I am crossing my fingers that I will be able to recover data from the hard drive but this will entail taking the machine apart, using an external hard drive case and then pulling the data.

I am going to have to cash in some of my stocks and dip into my savings to purchase myself a new laptop.

Right now I am using my desktop,¹ which is about as useful as a «screen door on a submarine» and I am sure you all know how I feel about those!

Thankfully my sister is going to help me out.  We are going to fly back to Calgary² a day early and she is going to buy the laptop that I have picked out and then when my money comes through I will pay her back.

I am really disappointed because I had been hoping to switch over to a Mac.  However, right now parting with that much money is not at all feasible.  I have to swallow this lump and deal with a «quick fix» in order for me to be able to continue my work.

Anyway so won't be posting much for the next few days, unless I can do it from my mobile.

I will do my best to write about the Sibling Silliness Adventures of yesterday; I did manage to upload the Album so it should be available on turnipPhotos for you to look at.

On a bad side note; neither one of us is feeling too good today and are both running for the bathroom; this is when it is really inconvenient to have only one toilet!
