I just looked back and it look like it has been almost a month since I last posted anything of content.  Here is the reason, nothing that has been happening is really of any interest or it has not been positive. ¹

Here is a quick run down, and it is not all bad stuff, of what has been happening just so you do know where I have been, what I have been up to and stuff like that.

A few months ago my business took a massive hit. I am not going to go into the gory details however as it stands right now I pretty much have to start back at square one.

I have lost a handful² of clients and it looks like I have 10 years of reputation to build back up and have to look for a new 3rd party to manage security.

So to say the least this hit has affected my «state of mind» and I have been depressed for quite some time.  It has been really hard to get out of bed some days even to brush my teeth.

Needless to say this loss of income has made making ends meet extremely difficult.  Paying the rent, keeping the power, phone and cable/internet going has been the priority while feeding myself has fallen to the wayside.

I think one of the faults I do have is keeping me from really attacking this problem head on, and that would be that I don't like looking weak, not in control and needing help.

I think I get that from my upbringing.  We were a very private family that always had to put out this picturesque front for others to see all the while things were not so rosy when the shades were drawn.

So right now I am busting my ass to find ways to raise an extra $200 that I need in 12 days so that I do not loose my apartment. ³

I have been off from flying for a while too.  My schedule for April worked out that I had a week of days off all in a row - well that is fantastic however it only seemed to diminish my momentum then that got me stressed out even more and I ended up sick. ⁴

OK so enough of that crap - here is some exciting news!

I met a boy!⁵

Now I am not going to say too much about that because we have only been hanging out for a couple of weeks but I have to say it has been fucking awesome!

Right off the bat we have been super comfortable around each other, just like we had known each other for ages.

We had been chatting on line for a while and then one day just decided to bite the bullet and get together to hang out and see how it went.

He came over one Sunday night after I got home from work and we kicked back on the couch with some wine and watched movies.

Ended up cuddling and falling asleep wrapped around each other.

So in the time we have spent together I have gotten to meet some of his friends, hang out with him more and even met his mom on his birthday.  It has been nothing but fun but not crazy fun - just comfortable good times.

Anyway I am going to leave that alone right now - not really wanting to put too much out there - keep it private a bit and see what happens with the 2 of us.

I do not have an agenda nor do I believe in them. ⁶

One other bit of news that I am proud of is that I have been made part of the team at UndiesDrawer.com - and I am having a LOT of fun with that!

Still have not gotten and freebies to try out and review, which I am hoping will be happening soon, I am having a lot of fun writing.  I like the mental exercise.  I crave it actually.

It would be great to see some of you commenting over there on the stories. I have seen that one reader here for sure has - THANKS!

One other quick set back lately has been my computer - I came home from a trip and a hard-drive had failed - so I could not boot up. 

I installed the OS on the functioning hard-drive just to keep it running and then had another trip to go on. 

Fearing an explosion while I was gone I turned off my computer; when I came back home and booted back up that failed hard-drive was working again and all was back to the way it was.

However, things are running painfully slow! Trying to run a couple applications at the same time is impossible.

I finally opened up RSS Bandit today to do some reading and catch up.  I had 703 items to read in my favourites category, 14 in the photo category and 305 in the «possible» favourites category.

I might be cross eyed by the time I get done. Check out this post where I found that picture!
