the end of an era

OK so that is a bit extreme...

Sitting in 12B, traveling at 38 000' at 438MPH, 1 hour and 7 minutes into the flight1.

As we push back from the gate I realised it has been exactly 1 month since I had last been on an airplane.

So here is a decision I have made.

No more shit! 

May was an absolutely shitty month for me and I am really planning on putting it all behind me and forgetting about it.

June is going to kick ass even if it kills me!

That's it that is all.

I fell asleep before the end of BSG so I am gonna go watch that now.

I'm confused....you're quitting? No, say it isn't so! Or are you just like me and committed to having a better month ahead?? HOpe so!

Sorry for the confusion - I am not quitting anything! Except for letting life shit on me....

The 'era' bit was just really a metaphor for a really bad month and about not having stepped foot on a plane for a month.

Quite the opposite to quitting - I already picked up a YUL turn out of Open Time and tried to pick up an LAX turn on Saturday but unfortunately I don't have enough hours of rest from Friday night when I get back until I would have to check-in on Saturday morning.

Which really sucks because an LAX turn out of YYC is about 5.5 hours of credit!

However it would have meant that I would have had to wait in YYC for about 3 hours before being able to catch a flight back home to YYZ.

That would make for a VERY long day!
