sibling silliness v1.1
Another great day1 spent with my sister, we had a flipping blast.
We started the day out kind of lazy, watching movies, drinking coffee I tried to get some work done but that came to an abrupt halt, which I will explain further on down.
The weather was shit so we didn't really feel like doing much walking around outside and getting drenched in the rain so we decided to hit Toronto Eaton Centre so my sister could do some shopping.
We bummed around but I was not really in a good mood, again more about that to follow.
We poked around here and there and radishHed did pick up a couple of things, one of which was a really cool pair of shoes!
We went to go and see Jer at his work after we were sick of shopping and our intention was to just sit there for a drink or maybe 2; well seems that was not the case, 3.5 hours later and 2 appetizers later we left.
We headed on home to drop off the bags and do a cocktail and costume change.
The plan was to go down to O'Grady's so my sister could meet some of my friends and CR would meet us there. Most of my friends if they go out at all only go out on Bear Night and O'Grady's has a wicked patio space so if the rain held off it would be a great night.
Well the rain did not hold off, none of my friends were brave enough to come out for fear that they might get wet and the Bears that were out were just way too nelly for me.
So when CR showed up we chugged our drinks and went across the street to Woody's to watch the Drag Show and the Best Ass Contest.
That was way butcher and a lot more fun!
Time got away on us and it was past 0130 so we decided it was time to turn into pumpkins and we came home, put in a movie, radishHed curled up on the futon, I curled up in bed and we were both out before the opening credits were done.
Photos that were taken throughout the day can be found here.
So the reason I was in a shitty mood....
My laptop blew up on me, as I mentioned on Twitter. Really bad timing as my financial situation is beyond dismal and I do rely heavily on my laptop to be able to do what work I do, and hopefully generate more business, when I am away from home.
So just being faced with yet another crisis really got me down. This year has not been good to me so far and I am not the only one that has said, «I thought that 2008 was supposed to be a better year...»
