OK so no not really but it might as well been the headline.
PageOneQ released a story today about good old Idahoan Walt Bayes, 70, who is running as a candidate to replace good ol' Larry Craig.
One of his platforms is "Separate Bathrooms for Gay Kids" - you have got to be shitting me!
Retired Idahoan Walt Bayes, 70, says in campaign literature that it is "absolutely wrong to force any student to share the same bathrooms and showers with homosexual teachers or students."
"I don't really have an answer for it," the Wilder resident told the Idaho Press-Tribune Saturday, "but we're going to have to do something if there's going to be a considerable number of our people who are going to [be gay]."
It would have been "an absolute catastrophe," Bayes said, if he were allowed to shower with girls when he was 18 years old, which is the rationale he uses to advocate such a "separation." [I prefer the term segregation here - kind of sends chills down my spine]

Would you believe that I grew up reading the Idaho Statesman....and still do when I return to see the family. A true Idahoan at heart. But this guy just won't cut it....even in highly conservative Idaho. Do you supposed he goes searching for sex in public restrooms (not that there's anything wrong with that, mind you).
I used to always live across the hall from the men's shower in residence. Prolly what made me a homo i guess. It was pretty entertaining tho.
