Peek-A-Boo
A couple weeks ago I cleaned out my fridge and freezer, a much overdue task. Nothing was growing mind you but my freezer was full of stuff that I had bought a long time ago and never eaten.1
Anyway the reason I am bringing this up is because tonight while I was cooking my Pork Chops I had a full garbage can, so took the bag out tied it up and put it by the door to take out after dinner.
Then I reached into the back corner2 to grab another bag to put in my garbage can and I found the loaf of bread that was in my freezer for almost 2 years that I thought I had thrown out 2 weeks ago. Guess I missed the garbage can.
Now here is what scared me. It was still soft just like the day I bought it. Not a spec of mold or fur on it at all. I ate that? I would expect some stuff to be growing on there.
Was there any real bread in that bag or just preservatives?
