Ouch That Flippin' Hurt
I was on the TTC heading out to the airport today, to fly to work tonight, it was standing room only.
Not really sure why it was so busy but I crammed myself, and my luggage, in the corner of the car and held on!
Well about 75% through my subway ride as we were pulling into the station the driver slammed on the brakes and we all went flying.
Well I should not really say «WE» because I was standing up with my back against the wall/door at the front of the subway car, I should say THEY all came flying at me.
OK so not a big deal right? Well an elbow managed to connect with my nose and when I say «connect» I really mean smashed into my nose.
End result; I got a massive nose bleed. Not a drip-drip nose bleed, I mean I bled all over the front of myself 'soaking' me and my uniform in blood.
Will skip ahead and say that I then ended up turning around and coming home to clean up; however, that did not leave me enough time to wash my uniform1 and then get back out to the airport to catch my flight to make it to work on time.
Plus I was not feeling so good after, kind of dizzy, queasy and I had a wicked headache.
I am hoping that I don't get a black eye(s) because that would not be fun.
Then to top it all off I realised that I somehow, while getting smashed in the face, chipped my tooth and now my filling is loose so I have to go tomorrow to get that fixed.
I am going to wrap myself up with blankets and pillows and then lay on the bed and hope nothing else happens today...

- yes I could have used a spare shirt as I do have many but my jacket and sweater had blood on it↩

On the news this morning it was reported that a man was pushed onto the tracks yesterday morning.
Way before I was on the system, but maybe that caused the driver of the car I was on to be a bit jumpy with the brakes yesterday?

You need someone to wrap their arms around you and comfort you. hint hint What a way to start the day.

Leave it to you. I'm sorry that happened. Can you contact someone at the TTC? A complaint, anything?
