so what this is saying is that you need to take a chance and bond with someone and not to let the past get in your way?

that is what I got out of it as well - but it made me start to think - how is that possible really when the past shapes who we are in the present for the better and for the worse....
however, I am not all that clear on what in my past would prevent me from «moving forward» so to speak...
