We (as gay men) have probably encountered that attitude from homophobic straight men that assume just because we are into men that automatically means that if you have a dick we either want to suck it, get fucked by it or fuck them.

We (as gay men) all know this to not be true; we have standards, morals and levels of attraction.¹

What really annoys me is when a gay man acts like those straight men I mention above.

There is a guy² that lives in my building that is just as gay as I am but is a complete jerk.  He acts just like a homophobic straight guy.

Now either he is shy³ or he thinks «icky» me wants him.

Now him being a gay man and knowing that he doesn't want to fuck with anyone that has a dick, why does he think I want to? Saying «hi» in the elevator is just that - unless I missed a memo somewhere and now saying «hi» means «hey wanna fuck?»

BTW just to clear up any confusion; he is too skinny for me, he may work out but there is not enough for this hungry pup to chew on there, and he was wearing rubber boots today⁴ - IN THE CITY!

Butch is one thing, practical another - but rubber boots and not being the kind of guy that would need them for work - give me a fucking break!

4. Now do not get me wrong - rubber boots are great if you are in construction, pouring cement or something of that nature.  As well I have seen some pretty hot role-playing scenes in movies with rubber boots.  So no need to start going on thinking I am anti-rubber-boot↩
