0500 - Shuttle to airport

0545 - Arrive airport, paperwork, breakfast

0640 - Arrive at gate meet the crew

0730 - Fly to Moncton

1105 - Fly to Toronto

1250 - Fly to Edmonton

1545 - Fly to Vancouver

1620 - Arrive Vancouver

1700 - Arrive Hotel

1730 - Grab supper (Big Mac perhaps?)

1830 - Back to Hotel room, work on laptop, watch TV, go to bed.

isn't it peculiar

Not really a discussion topic, this, but wanted to share with you a couple of things that are a bit weird about this week...

Since Sunday I have had 48 cigarettes¹ against the regular pack a day (25). No idea why. It is just not happening, mind you I am not permitting myself to smoke at my desk any more while I am working. ²
I have been really enjoying working out in the pool. Granted it has only been a few days but since my bud came over the other morning and dragged me down there I have been having a blast. ³ Even last night I ran down to just cram in 15 minutes of swimming before my other friend came over to watch movies.

That's it. That's all.

Oh did you want the story? So I met these guys from Detroit and we were hanging out walking through the village and then all of a sudden out of no where CHER WAS EVERYWHERE - One from every era, every costume change from every show EVER!

a couple quick shots

We had to stay at the overflow hotel last night, which is no where near downtown.

However, as upset as we were about this it seemed to work in my favour because it seems I was so tired last night that I pretty much slept for 10 hours.

Actually feel pretty good this morning and have even gotten some of my other work done.

Here are a couple shots from the balcony off my room. First is from last evening after dinner¹ and the second is from this morning around 0400 GMT-3.5.

carpal tunnel

I have been back sitting at my desk now for a couple of days while I work and today my wrists are killing me.

It is not a sharp pain but a very VERY uncomfortable sharp ache on the top of my wrist and nothing I do seems to make it feel better.

So I started to do some research on "carpal tunnel" to see if maybe this is what I am dealing with, amongst numerous other broken down body parts, and then I came across this link.

And at first I was like - mmmm hot daddy!

Then I thought - oh damn I can't share this moment of drool with you.

Then I read....

Finally, a great big thank you to my partner Steve, who has been taking great care of me (from squeezing the toothpaste to doing all of the laundry)! I'm sure things will be easier when I get my left hand done in September.

So my faithful turnip readers may I present David!

a little excitement

As I Twittered yesterday I had to run out quick to pick up a few things and of course yesterday was a really ugly grey day and when I was ready to head out to run my few little errands; the clouds rolled in and looked like they were ready to dump.

As I came out the back alley, right next to the Leaky Carton, I noticed an ambulance at the corner....

One of the less fortunate residents of my neighbourhood was being tended to.

He usually hangs out on this corner but what I cannot figure out is why the TTC got involved.

Anyway I was on my way and got my stuff done and on my way home....

Nothing like some HOT cop ass to brighten your day when the sky is pissing rain on you!
