Don’t Throw Water From Your Balcony
Yesterday I found a letter from the building manager in the elevator.
Apparently someone in an *04 unit threw a bucket of water from their balcony at 0150 (that is 1:50 AM for those of you that don't tell time with the 24 hour clock) and the results of this bucket toss landed on the balcony of apartment 204 thus splashing the balcony and the furniture that is on the balcony.
The letter went on to say that this behaviour must CEASE for obvious reasons. And that management looks forward to the upcoming cooperation of all tenants.
So let's twist that around a bit and look at it another way....
So what really is the issue here? The fact that someone's balcony and balcony furniture got wet?
Well what the heck do they do when it is going to rain? Do they run out there with their packing tape and 2mm plastic and wrap up their balcony to waterproof it?
If so, then what do they do when a surprise rain shower comes along?
What happens if someone on a higher floor over waters a planter?
What happens if someone on a higher floor is attempting to clean off the bird shit from their balcony?
Oh, wait I have an idea....it's a balcony - it's outside - it is going to get wet so learn to deal with it! And here is another novel idea - the furniture you put on your balcony, well it is going to get wet too so hey why not buy OUTDOOR FURNITURE?
Just a thought!
Gotta run - have a bunch of buckets I gotta take back to the dollar store!
