It has turned into one of those days again today.  The wind has picked up again as a new front blows in.  So now I know why I had a headache¹ that turned into a full force killer at about 0500 this morning and had me up at 0500 for a couple hours.

After finally being able to fall back asleep I managed to hide under the pillows and sleep until about 1030 trying my best to ignore my front door to my apartment rattling from the pressure difference between the hallway, my apartment and outside.

Needless to say I have been moving in slow motion today not really feeling any ambition to do much.  However; it is not all lost, an interesting letter from the building management was slipped through my mail slot earlier this morning and I got a chuckle out of it.

Again pointing out the obvious - here are a few highlights...

1. We need to be aware of our surroundings. If you see strange people² or witness odd occurrences³ notify........for your security, please ensure all exit doors are closed and watch for people coming in behind you, including the underground garage.⁴
2. Please remember that this is a shared living situation with common areas. DO NOT leave any sort of garbage in hallways.  This is extremely inconsiderate.
3. Loud music or excess hammering⁵ at all hours is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
4. Smoking is allowed in your unit, DRUGS are absolutely not and against the law!⁶
5. Rest are just stupid points that don't apply to me at all....so blech.

I went searching for news on the shooting that occurred yesterday in Toronto's Chinatown East, which is not far from me. Far enough to not have to dodge any bullets mind you but close enough and in this part of town, which is pretty quiet, quite the shake up 2 innocent bystanders have been killed in a random shooting.

From what I can tell from the news story picture this occurred really close to the infamous «Ka Ka Lucky Seafood BBQ Restaurant»  I was not far from there the other day waiting for a street car to come on up home.

On a brighter note; a friend of mine is dropping by for a couple drinks after he is done work and then I am heading to meet another friend for a burger and a couple pints.  I am hoping the socializing perks me up and I can forget my headache for a while!

I had an interesting⁷ shopping experience yesterday - just working on the best way to tell you all about it.
