random thoughts, day to day events, underwear, editorials, men pretty much something to spark any part of your mind...
Disclaimer: The thoughts, observations, and views expressed herein are solely my own and are not those of my employer or any other organization that I am affiliated with.
As well as my career in the airline industry, which has been a dream of mine since I was 5 years old, I have my own business on the side that I have been working with for about 10 years.
It helps fill my «spare» time as well as keeps my computer geek factor in check, although I do not have the time I once did to keep up with all the latest cool stuff but I try!
Music is really important to me so you will rarely find me anywhere without my iPod. I keep it full of my favourite tunes as well as my favourite podcasts; Archer Radio, Big Fatty Online, Drink 'til We're Funny, PNS Explosion, Betty in the Sky with a Suitcase, Ramble Red Head QCast Connection, AmeriNZ and PigRadio.
So if you see me out in public with my iPod plugged in and I start laughing all of a sudden I am probably listening to one of my podCasts, really I am not crazy.
I have learned that the voices in my head are not real, but they sure do come up with some great ideas sometimes!
However it was pointed out to me that to burst out laughing on a packed subway car or bus does help one get a better seat!
I wanted to take the opportunity to offer some insight into what my intentions are with my blog and what you can expect.
- My purpose for this blog or rather why I blog is just for me; if you enjoy reading my blog that makes me really happy but it is not the main reason I blog. As well if you want to add your comments I would love that. Just make sure you read the comments I make below on making comments.
- My language may be explicit should it be necessary to convey the message I am trying to send. If you are offended by explicit language then I wish you all the best and invite you to move along.
- My language may also be graphic and may deal with sexuality. If you are offended with graphic language or discussions on sexuality then I wish you all the best and invite you to move along.
- If I link to you I do not expect a link back, I would be flattered if you did offer a link back to my site. However, if you link to me because you like my stuff do not expect a link back to you as I may not feel its appropriate, it doesn't mean I don't like your stuff. Basically this goes back to my first point, I am bloggin' for me!
- Any comments I make about my experiences at work or while working do not in anyway reflect the opinion of my employer or any of my fellow employees. As well, it is important to note that I use my daily experiences as inspiration to write about events and share my observations.
Making comments;
- Leaving your comments on my blog is strongly encouraged and warmly welcomed.
- The reason why I ask that you register and login is so that I can try to maintain the integrity of this blog and the comments that are included in my blog. It takes you 30 seconds. Plus it does give you the opportunity to set up your profile so that when you post a comment it will link back to your site or your blog. (Check out point 4 above you may find this interesting)
- Whether you disagree with my point of view or not. However if you do disagree with my point of view you still need to be respectful in your response;
- Hateful and ugly language (or any language that gets nasty in my opinion) will not be tolerated. We are not here to spread hate.
- You can disagree and still show respect.
- If you disagree and follow these guidelines your comments will not be erased as I am very open to having more than one point of view out there. Another reason why I blog. BUT if you do not follow the guidelines - POOF I will delete your comments!
- While I make attempts to use proper English and grammar I do not always employ such when I am blogging if my «artistic license» requires that I do not. If others make comments and do not use proper English or grammar - please do not correct them. It is just plain rude.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask me - making assumptions only gets you into trouble. I am very open and approachable.
film & tv
Lately I have not had the opportunity to watch much television and well the prospect of that used to frighten me; however, I seem to be surviving just fine.
I do have some favourites though that I make sure I never miss and my PVR is set up to make sure I capture those shows and then can even download them when I am not home! Well my PVR was causing problems with my bandwidth and as a result I am missing my shows!
So what are some of my favourites? Here are a few;
- Alias (which I now watch on my DVD player with my DVDs that were bought for me for my birthday. Thanks Jem)
- 24 (have to sit down and rent a few seasons to get caught up)
- Desperate Housewives (yes I got hooked!)
- Dirty Jobs
- Heroes (I started this one just out of curiosity. I downloaded episodes from people that PVR'd them and well I got hooked)
- Most Haunted
- Mutant X
- Myth Busters
- Threshold
- Ugly Betty
I really suck at getting out to the theatre and usually end up renting DVDs
and watching them at home or on my laptop when I am on the road.
Now since I have this «spy» thing of course I like anything BOND, except for «Live and Let Die» and «Diamonds are Forever».
I also have an interest in Vampire Folklore so anything vampire works for me too; «Blade» Trilogy, Underworld and then like.
I also do not mind a good comedy or a good animation, well how about this - I just like good movies no matter what genre they fit into.
I did however see two movies recently that I really loved; Babel and 300!

- This is too hard to keep up with right now...
Past Reading
I used to read a LOT of Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum and if you look at my TV interests you will see that I have this thing for all things SPY.
However; I fell into the trap of reading The Da Vinci Code and then got hooked big time.
So then I picked up, Angels & Demons, Deception Point & Digital Fortress. Actually read all 4 of those books in about 5 days. After reading The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons. [All written by Dan Brown]
I was hooked on the whole conspiracy idea as well as the whole history side so I went out and got the following books; Genesis of the Grail Kings: The Explosive Story of Genetic Cloning and the Ancient Bloodline of Jesus, Laurence Gardner; The Jesus Papers: Exposing the Greatest Cover-Up in History, Michael Baigent; The Templar Legacy: a novel, Steve Berry.
Another good book that I read recently is; The Business, Iain Banks. Now that was a good book so I also picked up The Bridge, Iain Banks, and have that on the go as well. Just a side note also writes under the name Iain M. Banks.
