RSS Bandit first implementation was started by Dare Obasanjo’s MSDN article: Building a Desktop News Aggregator. This is now an Open Source project. It was hosted on GotDotNet workspace, and lives now at Sourceforge.net. Users interested in contributing to or taking a look at the latest source code should have a look there.

I think I may have found a solution to my problem with keeping up with my favourite blogs. RSS Bandit! Super easy to set up and use! Plus it does have 2 features that I really like, actually 3.

1. I can upload my feeds via FTP to my server and then download them. This is great for me to synchronize between my desktop, laptop and when I am at my sister’s place. Keeps me up-to-date no matter where I am. Gotta say I think this is the coolest feature.
2. Not only can I track new updates I can also track the comments on those postings that I am really interested in. So then no conversation gets lost. Which, I have to think is one way that I can contribute to content on other blogs that I read. It is very easy to loose track of a "thread" and thus fall out of the loop.
3. If the blog I am reading is set up with CommentAPI I can reply directly from RSS Bandit. I tried reading up on CommentAPI but right now my brain is just not wrapping around it properly.

Anyway so there you have it. Off now to go look at flight loads for later tonight to see if I can get myself home. Would rather be at home while not feeling 100% and I am sure my sister would like to have her place back to herself. Oh and I really miss my bed.
